William B. Trattler, MD
William Trattler, MD, is a Cornea, Cataract, & Refractive Surgeon at the Center For Excellence In Eye Care, located in Miami, FL. Dr Trattler received his bachelor’s degree with honors from Dartmouth College and his Doctorate of Medicine degree from University of Miami School of Medicine, where he graduated with Distinction in Research. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania and then spent an additional year for subspecialty training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. During his Corneal Fellowship, Dr Trattler performed research on dry eye and MGD.
William Trattler is the current US President of the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery (AECOS). Dr Trattler has participated in more than 70 clinical trials and has been an author in more than 50 peer-reviewed publications. Dr Trattler lectures at conferences both in the US and outside the US on topics ranging from cornea/keratoconus, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and ocular surface disease. He is on the planning committee of AECOS Deer Valley, Hawaiian Eye, OSN New York, and the Cedars Aspens annual meeting.
